2007 Annual Convention and Exhibition Registration Information

Advance registration is open for the 111th Annual PTA National Convention and Exhibition, to be held June 28-July 1, 2007, in St. Louis, MO! Registration booklets were mailed to PTAs beginning the week of February 26. Most PTAs will receive the booklet in 5-10 days; the farthest reaches of the country should receive the booklet no later than the week of March 5.  For the first time, we were able to directly invite more than 9,000 additional local officers to convention—presidents elect, vice presidents, treasurers, secretaries, and membership chairs—as identified through OMDR.

National PTA is offering a $20 discount to those who register online by the advance registration deadline of June 1, 2007. PTAs can visit www.pta.org/annualconvention for more details on the convention and to register.

NATIONAL PTA CONVENTION DELEGATE CARD DISTRIBUTION

Because National PTA convention is being held in St. Louis MO this year, we anticipate that the request for delegate cards could exceed the number of delegates we are allotted.  As a result, delegate cards will be distributed in the following manner:

      * To Illinois PTA board members and past presidents, in accordance with board policy;

* To Delegates who request credentials in writing and have already pre-registered;

* Distribution will be on a first come – first serve basis, according to membership and geographical allocations; and

* Lost or forgotten cards will be replaced only when delegates who have not received cards have been accommodated.

 Written requests should include the following information:

Delegate name, mailing address and phone number;

Copy of current, completed PTA membership card, with name of unit and legible PTA District number.

Delegate cards for those who have sent written requests will be mailed once National PTA pre-registration has been closed, and the Illinois PTA has received the list of pre-registered delegates.  This will be sometime in May.   Instructions for obtaining delegate cards at the convention site will be posted on the message board under “Illinois Delegates.”

 Requests may be mailed to:
