The Treasurer

The treasurer on a PTA board is a position of responsibility and accountability. It is for this reason that the Illinois PTA urges treasurers to take the necessary PTA courses in order to make your job easier. The Illinois PTA will come out to your PTA to present the following courses/workshops:

Money Matters Courses
The PTA Money Matters Courses are designed to provide financial information to help PTA leaders. The classes are intended to be interactive, with group exercises and discussion questions included. Each participant will receive course booklets. In addition, if a PowerPoint presentation is given, participants will receive a printed copy of the slide-show.
Attendance at the PTA Money Matters Courses is one of the requirements for the Illinois PTA University Bachelor’s Degree, a recognition/ incentive program developed to encourage PTA leaders to take advantage of a variety of training opportunities.
